Adriana Ballesté has a Doctorate in Music from UNIRIO. She is a researcher at IBICT where she coordinates the Museu Virtual de Instrumentos Musicais [Virtual Museum of Musical Instruments] project. She is a solo guitarist and a member of the Duo Madrid and the Orquestra de Violões da AV-Rio [AV-Rio Guitar Orchestra]. In 2017, she released the CD “Chuva no Mar”, considered by the composer and guitarist Marco Pereira “an important contribution to the history of the Brazilian guitar”.
